Set Yourself Free by Being Yourself

ree

Authenticity is sooooo fucking underrated. It's more than being honest with the world. It's about being honest with yourself. There are many advantages to being authentic. Most importantly, you'll no longer feel the need to change your words and actions to impress others. You can relax and be yourself.

Knowing oneself is the first step toward genuineness. This encompasses your ideals and aims. Knowing what matters most to you and being willing to openly acknowledge your past failures are necessary steps toward authenticity. In other words, take responsibility for your actions and make whatever adjustments are necessary to understand how you arrived at this point.

Accept yourself as you are and present yourself truthfully.

1. Stop trying so hard to seem flawless. In this case, excellent will do. But in all seriousness, when you aren't concerned about how you come across, you can be completely forthright. No one can be both flawless and truthful. Do not attempt to impress outsiders. You're setting yourself up for future self-loathing.

To be ordinary is perfectly fine. Put forth your best effort to be yourself (because, in all candor, you were made to be a badass magical being, and it's time to start acting the part).

2. Be conscious of and true to your own principles. In terms of genuineness, you're already ahead of the game if you know your values and act accordingly.

Create a list of your core beliefs and choose the top five. Do you act in accordance with these principles? Is it clear to other people that you share these values?

Make up your mind to act in accordance with your principles. Share your beliefs with the world and don't hide who you are or what you stand for.

Create a slogan, motto, or guiding principle. Now, please do as instructed. Who you really are, not who you seem to be or who you hang out with, is your brand.

Third, be cognizant of the times you aren't being genuine. Being genuine all the time might be challenging. Depending on the circumstances, you could find yourself altering. An ideal example would be a first date. Is this your true self, or are you faking it?

Be aware of when your genuineness begins to waver.

Identify your endpoints. What are your life goals? Is that so? Do you intend to tell people? Once you decide what you want out of life, you can make decisions based on that.

Write out both the near- and far-term objectives you wish to achieve. To what extent do their beliefs mirror your own?

5. What are the qualities that best describe you? Honestly describe yourself. Check to see if this is how you would be described by a friend of a friend. What about someone who is familiar with you? What about your best friend, though?

To what extent are you known by others? Consider why there might be so few. If you're being genuine in your daily interactions, people will be able to draw fair judgments about you.

* What do you consider to be your "negative" traits? How patient or neat you are. Do you embrace these aspects of yourself and let them shine, or do you try to keep them under wraps?

Admit the reality. Why bother lying if you're being honest? Particularly relevant is what you say about yourself. Recognize your human frailties and shortcomings. Feel free to speak your mind openly and candidly.

Take steps to reduce the complexity of your daily routine. Eliminate any and all unnecessary components. Whatever you decide to keep reflects who you are and what you value. Get in touch with your genuine self by discarding everything that isn't important. Start with the things you never use, the hobbies you never liked, and the clothes you never wear. Keep only the items that hold the most sentimental value to you.

8. Follow through on your commitments. Don't back down from what you've said you'll do. You'll feel better about yourself, and people will see you in the same light. When your actions back up what you say, you've shown authenticity.

When you're being true to who you are, life gets less difficult. Putting on a mask for the sake of social acceptance is exhausting, but it won't be necessary any longer. You won't worry about the safety of yourself or those around you anymore. Be authentic with your thoughts, words, and actions. Invest the time in yourself and learn to be free.
